Hey Everyone,
In honor of Earth Day, I am organizing a neighborhood “Get Clean” up. I just wanted to send out an email to invite everyone to participate. Let’s see how much of an impact we can make!! Shaklee has done such a great job giving us earth friendly products, I figured we could use Earth Day to help spread the word, increase environmental awareness, and possibly increase our businesses and Shaklee family as well.
This project has 2 phases.
Phase 1:
On Mon and Tues, April 16th and 17th, we will be distributing bags to houses in our neighborhoods with the following contents:
-a larger (recyclable of course) garbage bag
-a letter explaining what we are doing and the impacts, dangers, etc. of hazardous household materials and what they are (cuz I think a lot of people don’t even know)
-a Get Clean profiler (which you can purchase in your back office)
———in the letter it will explain that the idea is to gather up all of your household hazardous wastes and place them out for pick up on Earth Day and they will be replaced with a sample of a healthy alternative…you guessed it…Basic H2—-
Phase 2:
On Earth Day, Sunday April 22nd we will go around and pick up any that have been set out and replace them with the following:
-a Basic H2 sample
-spray bottle
-small catalogue
-a sheet explaining some of the uses for Basic H2
Then afterward, we can get together and consolidate our toxic loot to be disposed of at the household hazardous wastes area at the Fargo landfill. I will take it all on Monday so it doesn’t cost us anything.
Most of the bag stuffers (basic H samples, spray bottles, profilers, etc) will be bought by each individual business owner. I got the big bags and you can buy them from me for $.15 a bag and I will make the letter for phase 1. I am putting them in large Shaklee bags which you can buy (very inexpensively I might add) in your back office.
The things I outlined for stuffing the bags are just a guideline, it is your business, so if you feel you would like to put a brochure or something else in there feel free.
We will be having a bag stuffing and pizza party at Tara’s house in SW Fargo on Sunday April 15th from 5:30pm - until we are done so we can get ready for Monday and Tuesday distribution. If you want to help out, just bring your supplies and we will stuff our bags (and maybe our faces too).
I really think this will be beneficial for everyone involved, so whether you decide to do 25, 50, 100 houses or more in your neighborhood, we would love to have as many of you help as possible! And hey, if you live in a more rural area, you can join the adopt-a-neighborhood plan. (Don’t really have one but we will figure it out)
