Monitor your weight. Regularly weigh yourself to monitor how much you gain or if you are still within the limit of your ideal weight. You can then refer to the BMI chart. Keeping a journal or some other sort of record can help you keep track of what your weight loss achievements as well has help you visualize your goals.
Exercise regularly. Walking is a great form of exercise that you can easily do everyday. Work up your strength and stamina then move on to some sports such as badminton, swimming or basketball. Any sport that gets your heart rate up and makes you perspire will help you maintain and lose weight.

Observe what you eat and how it makes you feel. Observe the effects the food you eat has on you. What food makes you easily gain weight? What food helps you to digest faster? This will help you to determine which foods you can eat frequently, in moderation or not at all.

Follow a diet plan. If you are overweight, it is advisable to have a diet plan. There are many diet plans for losing weight depending on your needs. You can use the Internet to get more information on the available weight loss programs. Also, please consult a doctor to make sure that you select a diet plan that is appropriate for you. Then strictly follow the plan to easily achieve the weight goal.
